Quick and Easy Teriyaki Green Beans

This quick and easy teriyaki green beans recipe is cooked in a soy sauce, mirin, and ginger sauce and has a hint of toasted sesame oil. Side dish is ready in 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans, ends trimmed
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp mirin
  • 2 tsp minced ginger
  • dash toasted sesame oil - add to taste as sesame oil has a strong taste
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Add green beans and simmer uncovered until desired tenderness (5-10 minutes).
  • Strain water and add green beans back to pot.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer 3-5 minutes until coated with sauce and hot.
  • Add salt to taste.

Notes

  • Add some heat - try sriracha, chili flakes, or chili crisp oil.
