Grilled Okra

Leaving okra whole minimizes the gooey innards that turn so many people off.  Add any favorite herbs or spices to this okra recipe or leave it classic  & grill with olive oil, salt, & pepper.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb whole okra
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • pinch black pepper

Instructions

  • Heat a grill to medium high to high heat (~425F)
  • Toss all ingredients together in a bowl.  Skewer the okra.  Put on grill, cover, cook ~ 2-3 minutes per side or until grill marks appear. Happy Okra Eating!  Beckie

Notes

Don’t have a grill?  Roast uncovered (no skewers) on an aluminum lined baking sheet ~ 12-15 minutes, turning once.
