Spaghetti, Fried Egg, Basil, Cheese....

Easiest recipe: Boil spaghetti, fry an egg, top with goat cheese (chèvre), garnish with fresh basil.  Add a little olive oil.  Add some Parmesan cheese too if you got it!

This spaghetti and fried egg recipe is an "I don't know what to make for dinner "dinner!

Want to take your spaghetti game up a notch?  Pan fry the cooked spaghetti in a non-stick pan until some of it is crispy.  It gives it a different texture and taste and might need a little more olive oil when crunchy.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces cooked spaghetti
  • 1 egg, cooked as desired
  • 4-5 basil leaves
  • 3 tablespoon chèvre / goat cheese, crumbled
  • olive oil to taste
  • pinch salt
  • pinch black pepper
  • Parmesan cheese (optional) to taste

Instructions

  • Cook spaghetti or warm up leftover spaghetti and toss with a wee bit of olive oil.
  • Crumble the goat cheese on the warm spaghetti.
  • Fry or poach an egg and place on top of spaghetti and goat cheese crumbles.
  • Top with fresh basil.

Notes
