One of my favorite meals with one of my favorite drinks.

My favorite meal - the one that I would want if stranded on a desert island is.... beans and rice of some form, eggs, avocado, cheese, and veggies.  This "stranded" meal hasn't changed in nearly a decade.  

But here's what I would drink:  muddled down rosemary, peaches and strawberries, and whiskey with a squeeze of lemon or lime and a dash of bubbly water.  Make this recipe and sub your favorite alcohol or non-alcoholic beverage.

Serving Suggestion

Serve this drink with anything and everything but here's some ideas:

Ingredients

  • 1 sprig of rosemary leaves
  • 1 strawberry (stem removed)
  • ¼ small peach (skin removed)
  • 1 oz whiskey (or vodka, gin, rum, whatever...)
  • squeeze of lemon or lime wedge
  • light topper off of bubbly water/club soda

Instructions

  • In a mortar and pestle (or blender) grind up: rosemary leaves (do this first before fruit) and then add strawberry and peach.
  • Mash it up!  Get a glass of ice and add liquor of choice, mashed up fruit, and some bubbly water.  Squeeze a lime over the top.
  • Mix up your drink.  Grab a spoon to eat any of the pulp after your drink is finished.  Put your feet up.  Enjoy the weather.  Be grateful.  - Beckie
