Salad Recipes

The possibilities are endless with salad recipes.  Let your creativity run free!

The last strip in Bill Watterson's classic comic Calvin and Hobbes said "A day full of possibilities.... let's go exploring!" and that's exactly how it should be with salads.

Almost any salad can easily be made into a main dish by adding a protein, as you can see here and here and here.

Almost any salad recipe can be changed by adding a different nut, a different salad dressing, a different cheese, or a different leafy green.

Even the texture of a salad can change with a different knife cut.  Shred or chop the salad ingredients finely for a chopped salad feel with less chewing.  Or make it chunky by leaving salad ingredients bigger for more chew.

Here's my favorite salad recipes by season:

  • Spring - Strawberry Arugula Salad with Pecans and Goat Cheese
  • Summer - Peach, Fig, and Arugula Salad with Blue Cheese
  • Fall - Kale Salad with Dried Mangos and Cranberries
  • Winter - Fennel, Avocado, and Cherry Tomato Salad

Easy Mediterranean Salad with Feta Cheese
